SBI Bank clerk selection procedure includes two steps :
- Written Objective Exam
Written Objective SBI Clerk exam consists of five sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General English Language, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge & Marketing Aptitude. Each section carries equal weightage of 40 Marks. In Totality the SBI Bank Clerical exam is of 200 Marks and each question carries 1 mark and 1/4 negative mark for wrong choice. Candidates have to clear the sectional cut-off as well as over all cut-off. So, every section is equally important no section can be ignored. And, cut-off is decided by the Bank which depends on the overall performance.
This Section includes mathematical and Numerical Aptitude questions from topics like- Ratio & Proportion, Number System, Average, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Simple Interest & Compound Interest etc.
This Section is to check your analytical skills it includes Reasoning questions from topics like- Coding- Decoding, Sequence & Series, Blood Relation, Analogy etc.
General English Language:
This Section is to test your basic english skills it includes Reading & Comprehension, Sentence Completion, Grammatical error correction, Synnonyms & Antonyms etc. Candidate should have basic knowledge of Grammar to clear this section.
Computer Knowledge & Marketing Aptitude:
This section is to test the basic computer skills & General Marketing Skills of candidate.
This Section is to test the general awareness of candidate. This is considered as the most scoring section and one can score good in this section only with regular studies and by being updated with current affairs.
