Sri Lanka lifts Asia Cup Title 2014:-
Sri Lanka on Saturday regained the Asia Cup trophy with a comfortable five-wicket victory over defending champions Pakistan, riding on Lasith Malinga’s five-wicket haul and opener Lahiru Thirimanne’s fluent century.
It is the first time Sri Lanka have won the trophy since 2008.
It is their fifth Asia Cup success, equaling the record of India.
PSU banks need 19,813 more ATMs by March-end to meet target:-
State-run banks may set up only 14,855 ATMs by December, leaving an uphill task of installing close to 20,000 more cash dispensing machines by March-end to achieve the target of at least one onsite ATM in every branch.
SBI had put in place 2,266 ATMs till December and has to install 2,221 more by March, 2014, according to the progress report of ATMs installation at all branches of banks.
Allahabad Bank has set up 385 ATMs and is yet to install 2,033 more.
Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Syndicate Bank and Punjab National Bank need to set up 1,319, 1,004, 1,560 and 1,408 ATMs, respectively.
Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank and Vijaya Bank have to set up only 02, 32 and 39 ATMs, respectively to meet their targets.
“Know Your Metro” campaign launched in Delhi:-
The programme, launched on the International Women’s Day, intends to make women commuters aware of the basic functioning and emergency services of the Delhi Metro.
The main purpose of the programme was to sensitise women commuters about the various facilities available inside the Metro premises and trains for their safety. To inspire women, we also made them meet known women achievers like Income Tax Commissioner and acclaimed artist Sangeeta Gupta and former athlete Sunita Godara,” said a DMRC official.

Mizoram lift 68th Santosh Trophy beating Railways:-
i. Mizoram won the 68th senior National football championship of Santosh Trophy by defeating Railways 3-0 in the final match played at Kanchenjungha Stadium in Siliguri, West Bengal.
ii. This is the maiden Santosh Trophy for Mizoram also this was the first appearance for them in the final match. Since qualifying the zonal qualifiers, Manipur managed to win all the nine matches of the trophy.

A light weight revolver named Nirbheek was launched by Indian Ordinance factory on 25th March 2014 which is especially designed for women to defend themselves from assault. Nirbheek that weighs is very less around 500 gm and it is a .32 bore revolver which can be easily carried by women in their purses or handbags.
Nirbheek revolver is made of titanium alloy and is priced Rs. 122360. The revolver is capable of firing six rounds loaded in a revolving chamber.
